    Default Who will be the next to pass Jordan after LeGOAT?

    LeBron has make it look so easy even when he is playing in a much tougher era.

    I feel like a lot of players will. Donovan and Murray have both already at least tied some of his records so you guys think there is a chance Baldan could fall off top 10 AT in the upcoming years?

    .
    A small sample of historical and statistical-based arguments against Lebron

    * Lebron had the goat choke in 2011 and cost Wade a FMVP... even if Lebron had won that year, the goat can't let a teammate be the Most Valuable Player (FMVP)..... and yet lebron LOST/choked, which is far worse!!!

    * Lebron lost as the favorite from 2009-2011, which caused underdog status in 2012 despite a super-team.

    * Lebron's cast avoided an 0-3 deficit in the 13' Finals while lebron averaged 16 on 39% for those games.. Ultimately, his 23 on 43% thru 6 games was insufficient, thus needing Ray Allen to force Game 7 and provide 2nd life.. Lebron was a net negative for the series (negative net rating - Heat lost with him on the floor, aka they had negative ortg/drtg differential).

    * The odds were even heading into the 2014 Finals, yet Lebron lost by record amount to fossils

    * It's a knock that lebron lost the 2017 Finals because kd had curry, but lebron had the guy that destroyed curry

    * Lebron was blown away by record amount to the 18' Warriors, while AD takes the Warriors 5 and Harden takes them 7

    * 22 on 35% in the 2007 Finals

    * 26 on 35% in the 2008 ECSF

    * Lost to 1-star teams (09', 11')

    * In 18 seasons, he never beat a top 5 SRS team with poor scoring and efficiency from a sidekick (no carry-jobs against good teams in 18 years).

    * starts at SF but becomes a 2nd point guard on the floor.. These 2-PG lineups give teammates less hold-time and assists then they get in traditional 1-PG lineups.. lower teammate assists result in low TEAM assists and a brand that struggles on the championship level (4/10)..

    * He has a ball-dominant skillset, which imposes spot-up roles that stall young players, thereby needing ready-made stars to win (talent-based winning).. talent-based winning loses to organic ball movement, so lebron has a lottery record against the Spurs, Mavs and Warriors.

    * 94% of lebron's jumpers are uncontested/he avoids them.. So Lebron shoots poorly at high volume because he's poor at the contested jumpshooting required of high volume loads (and additional mid-range).. Since he isn't efficient at high volume, he can't win rings that require high volume, such as rings with "true" 2nd options like Klay or Pippen that average significantly less points in the championship.. fortunately for Lebron, his sidekick was the playoff scoring champ so it was easy street

    Lebron is firmly planted at #3 behind Kareem. He just benefits from recency bias atm. I remember when everyone had Kobe as top 5 in 2010. Lebron could certainly pass Kareem with another MVP and championship but if that doesn't happen, I got bad news for them. He'll drop in all time rankings with time. It's just a fact.

    Lol, it's actually the complete opposite. Recency bias doesn't exist whatsoever. Players today are valued less due to nostalgia warriors. There's tons of examples for this. Curry!? he couldn't play in the 90s! Too physical, hur dur. The game today is shit, no defense is played! Embiid or Jokic? Give me Joe Kleine or Oliver Miller.

    Doncic should be the 1st to officially surpass His Baldness after LeBron but something tells me that he won't be the only one

    100%

    Jokic is probably a top 3 player in the 90s but in the new era he is just top 10 at best

    Maybe we should count each LeBron ring as 2 to make it fairer?

    LeBron is ahead of Jordan

    Luka and Zion have a small chance as well. Jordan might be top 7 by the end of 2035.

    -7491 points will never be beaten
    -2016 chip will never be beaten
    -12 playoff game winners will never be beaten
    -9x finals scoring leader for team will never be beaten
    -the list goes on and on and on...

    He's played 18 years, so surely he has a bunch of scoring titles, assist titles, dpoy's or top 5 dpoy finishes... And he must have nearly 10 rings by now I'm sure

    Help me out - where does he stand on "degree" of domination (scoring titles, assist titles, dpoy voting, ppg)

    * Zero game-winners on the championship level and lower overall frequency of winners

    * 5 less points per game on weaker efficiency per possession

    * No one would've expected the 16' Warriors to win if they knew MVP Curry wouldn't exist and would get destroyed by Kyrie - so lebron gets knocked for needing 7 games to defeat Curry despite Kyrie destroying Curry.

    * a teammate led lebron in playoff scoring for 2011 and 2020 playoffs (2016 was a tie with Kyrie) - so lebron and everyone in history is a "pippen" that needed a "Jordan" capable of outscoring him.. mj is the only guy that just needed pippen (someone that produced far less in every series)
