What are your thoughts on Ben Simmons 2025-2026 season?

He'll be around 28 years old, around peak for the average star player... what will his averages be? Will he have developed a 3point shot? He's currently made 3 his entire career.

I was big on Simmons until late last season. But now I agree with the sentiment in this thread. He'll be a similar player to what he is now. Maybe a slightly better scorer if he develops in a few areas, but he's not going to be a 20+ppg player.

Currently he pretty much only scores in transition or if there's a defensive break down. It's frustrating to watch as someone who was really hyping him.

Having said that, the other aspects of his game will see him making plenty of AS and All-D teams and he may peak at All-NBA 2nd team level if he can score a little more, but I don't see him becoming a superstar.

He will still be unable to shoot a jumper, and we have no idea if Embiid is still there in Philly with him.

Let's see. It's difficult to say, but experience tells me not to get your expectations too high. For example, after watching Blake Griffin his first couple of years, I thought he would win MVP's in the future. However, he didn't improved that much and with the introduction of small-ball he just doesn't even make All-Star teams nowadays.

Kinda silly to think about so far ahead, but... his whole game is athleticism based. He has no basketball skill. So I would assume as he gets older he'll be a total liability. Like a tall Westbrook.

Yeah Blake is somewhat of a good example except he came into the league without a shot at all and has slowly developed himself into a decent shooter.
