Matthew Stafford landing spots: Six teams that should trade for QB
https://www.nfl.com/news/matthew-sta...d-trade-for-qb
As NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported over the weekend, Stafford and the Detroit Lions have agreed to mutually part ways after the veteran quarterback expressed his desire for a trade.
6 teams listed in article:
1. Colts
2. 49ers
3. Bears
4. Redskins
5. Panthers
6. Rams? Seriously?
Washington shouldn't have to give up much to get this done
the 19th pick of the draft should be enough.... Sign a solid FA WR opposite Terry McLaurin, find a RB in the 2nd or 3rd round, and Team Washington should be good to go in 2021.

Re: Matthew Stafford
Why would they need a RB that high in the draft?
They had I believe the most productive Rookie RB this year. No reason to believe he won't continue to produce, he was on a 1100 yard, 16 TD full season pace to end the second half of the season and he catches the ball well.........

Hard pass as a Bears fan, we want Watson. Of course we could've drafted him instead...

I wouldn't feel comfortable with him being a complete workhorse RB yet... also need a back up plan incase of injury. (See Derrius Guice)
maybe bring in another veteran RB if you want to spend the draft pick on something else like an O-Lineman or add another piece to build around Chase Young.
Also... look at the success Cleveland had with Two RBs, when you have an elite defense you should want to focus on the running game
but you're right... second round would be too high, but they do need another RB imo.
