Yeah forsure lebron was the best defender and main reason why they got much better. They had solid pieces though. Tristan, iman and jr at thw time wete very goid defensively. Plus what you said kind of supports my claim that bron doesn't go full out in regular season compared to playoffs. If it's all bron why the great improvement defensively between reg and post season?

Just because Tristan and Iman were better defensively than they were offensively doesn't mean they were particularly good defensive players. None of LeBron's supporting cast from the 2016 Cavs had a single all-defensive selection throughout their entire careers. Technically Anderson Varejao did, but he barely played. But go and check how many championship teams throughout history had only one player who was all-defense in his career. Hakeem's Rockets and that's about it.

There are several SF's who were better defensively than Lebron even last year... Kawhi, Siakam, Covington, Butler, Tucker just off of the top of my head. He was definitely a positive defensive player though.

Kawhi wasn't able to put the clamps on Jamal Murray when he dropped 40 on the Clippers in game 7, like LeBron was able to do in his Denver series. Nor Giannis in the regular season for that matter.
