I’ll take the master of one. The jack of all trades lose too much for my taste

Re: Jack of all trades vs masters of one
MJ is hardly just a master of one. He is intent on winning and he will put all his effort on something if he thinks that is the best way to win. He needed to score and defend, and that's what he did.
Lebron is too self-aware of his stats and he hides behind its blanket so he does not get blamed for failures to win (only 2/4 with MIA superteam).

Also, was there pun intended? We can go as far as to say Lebron is the 'master of all trades' for his recruitment skills.

This. If MJ was only an elite scorer, he wouldn't have been the great player he was. He was also a great defender and strong passer and rebounder (for his position). He was a master of defense and scoring at the least.
LeBron may not be quite the scorer MJ was, but he's mastered scoring nonetheless. He's also a defensive master, and passing master, as well as a strong rebounder.
You're more likely to have success in more situations if you have a diverse skillset. Otherwise you can only succeed with very specific team construction. A great scorer who is a mediocre defender and distributor has to have a roster with guys who can to those things or he won't succeed. If he's great at those things, he can modify his game based on the needs of the team, shifting more towards defense or distribution if he's among with another great scorer for example.

yup. mj and lebron were elite on both ends, while lebron is clearly a better passer. the jack of all trades is oftentimes better than a master of one.

Give me the jack of all trades any day
However it's a bit of an insult to call Jordan a master of one because he's pretty elite at every aspect of basketball that's why he's widely considered to be the GOAT

Bill Russell was a Jack of all trades and a master of one (Defense, winning) and won the most chips

That's why women are valuable assets despite recent popularity, because they can offer blowjob, intercourse, titjob, handjob, ASMR, they can roleplay your step sister, your teacher, your aunt. lots of options.
Only setting where being master of 1 thing is king, pin the tail on the donkey.
if 15 foot jump shots turn into 3 pointers perhaps i'll think otherwise, unfortunately they aren't much of value anymore nor is the likely hood of a Byron Russel defensive assignment
