Atlanta is 27-11 since Nate McMillan took over as coach. They’ve been a legitimately great team with him at the helm. Worth noting.

    Hideously weak path though.

Even good names either rested or fell apart with injuries.

They got destroyed by 20+ by the Sixers both times (once by 40+).

Makes sense considering they both didn't make the ps last year.

Just seeing the Knicks do well kind of pleases me.

Would be good for the league if they could be somewhat successful for a bit

Especially with Brooklyn up there too...

    This

Good matchup of offense vs defense to gauge where the league is at

Right. I can see PA jerking off once rose and the knicks win in this series.

Dudes are tripping in here. Shallow, headline fans. This is going to be a very good series.

Should be a close series. Hawks SHOULD win it on paper, but the Knicks have matched up well against them (3 - 0 in the RS) and they have the best defense in the league, with an experienced vet in Rose, who I trust more in crunch time than anyone on the Hawks tbh. Thibs is also the better coach. Nate McMillan doesn't have a great track record in the POs, hasn't made it out of the 2nd round and has been swept 3 out of the last runs. Hasn't won a Playoff series in 16 years.

The Hawks have also dealt with a lot of injuries. Deandre Hunter looks like he's going to be healthy.

That 40 point loss to the Sixers was on the road in a back-to-back without Trae.

In the same timeframe they've beaten the Heat, Bucks, Blazers, and Suns. All were healthy.
