Darryl Dawkins, man of many nicknames and Dawkinisms, nearly made 400 personal fouls in each of back-to-back seasons, 1982-83 and 83-84, with the Nets, which is notable because it happened right after being traded away from the 76ers, who fielded one of the sport's best teams in the 1982-83 league champions. Dawkins had some crazy stat lines in his career, particularly as a Sixer, and people like Harvey Pollack and the Philly papers liked to point them out. Dawkins could cook food quite well and ran a restaurant later in his life, in New Jersey IIRC. There's very few players who have had as much personality as Darryl.
