Default Lebron and Rich sell minority stake in their production company for 725 million.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James’ SpringHill Company is selling a minority stake in the business to a group of investors for $725 million. The company announced the deal on Thursday morning, per Bloomberg. The investors include Nike, Epic Games Inc., RedBird Capital Partners, and the owners of the Boston Red Sox. LeBron and business partner Maverick Carter will keep controlling interest in the company. James is the chairman of SpringHill, while Carter is the CEO.

SpringHill is behind a number of major media projects, including Space Jam: A New Legacy and HBO’s The Shop: Uninterrupted. This sale will now help them expand the brand into other areas, such as gaming and fashion.More from Bloomberg on this big deal for LeBron James:
The new investor group leverages a number of long-standing relationships. James has endorsed Nike products since 2003, and Carter worked at the shoe and apparel giant before going to work with his childhood friend full-time. The pair teamed up with Fenway Sports Group — owners of the Red Sox and Liverpool FC — in 2011 and ultimately became minority owners of both of those clubs through FSG. James also recently agreed to have his likeness integrated into Epic’s popular Fortnite game.
The investors will boost SpringHill’s credibility and access in their respective areas of expertise, Carter said. The association with Redbird, which has put money into various media and sports businesses, allows SpringHill to pursue potential deals across that portfolio.
SpringHill’s revenues are reportedly on track to be over $100 million in the next year. James and Carter are clearly envisioning big things for the company, which is why they’re doing this deal and expanding into other areas. LeBron James continues to build up his empire, and there’s seemingly no stopping him.

Good return on what I’m sure was a terrible movie and some mediocre shows. The shop episode with Jay Z had some good stories though….

Yea my bad. I don’t keep up enough with what each of them does. Straight copy/paste job.

Id be surprised if all 3 were not tied into all their ventures though.

So that another thread won't be created about Lebron's wealth, I saw this yesterday.

Lakers forward LeBron James will be the highest-paid NBA player in 2021–22—and it's not even close.

According to Forbes, James is set to decimate his own record by raking in a combined $111.2 million over a 12-month period. That estimate represents more than a 15% increase from the year before.

The figure includes James's $41.2 million salary, as well as a number of off-the-court ventures, most notably his Nike contract of $32 million per year. The four-time league MVP also accumulated payments from Space Jam: A New Legacy, a "skin" in the popular video game Fortnite and a recent investment and brand ambassador deal with home fitness company Tonal.

LeBron's earnings would make him the 10th-active athlete ever to surpass $100 million in a year and joins elite company such as Lionel Messi, Floyd Mayweather and Roger Federer.

Warriors superstar guard Steph Curry is runner-up on Forbes' list. His $92.8 million (which would have been a record in 2019) comprises the NBA's highest salary and several off-the-court revenue streams—a production company, Under Armour sponsorship and cryptocurrency endorsement deal, to name a few.

Nets forward Kevin Durant, coming off a contract extension, is third with $87.9 million. Durant's firm, Thirty Five Ventures, has investments in more than 80 companies.

Reigning Finals MVP and Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, the only top-10 earner in his 20s, is next with $80.3 million. James's new teammate, Russell Westbrook, landed in fifth, just shy of $75 million.
