It was 50 degrees in August.
I would not go back unless on another hunt.
Best time would be to go around end of June , when there is 22+ hours of sunlight.

It depends ... When I was there late August -- it depends on when the fish are migrating.
A guy tax'n with me said his trip was north of Anchorage and he was fishing strictly rainbows and he was kill'n it.
I was on two major river systems that were connected to the pacific.. (I was hunting on the SW peninsula ... At that time fishing was spotty )
Saw thousands of dead salmon up river were I was hunting.
Friend was up there a week before me , halbut fishing ,, silch , and went back up 3 weeks later and killed it.

My guide (Inuit) told me his winters are apx. 4 months.
I live in northern Wisc... our winters are 5-6 months... and about 30 minutes from Michigan's UP that gets well over 110 inches of snow .
