oh god. they beat det long before mj did as no one is bullying l-train like they did skinny pre-weight room mj. we also know lebron isn't retiring due to mental and physical exhaustion after only three straight trips to the finals and he's still elite at 37 so...i'd say they probably win it all every year from 89-00.

well he won 1 title in 11 years for the franchise that drafted him so in this case probably 0 titles since no players develops into a star with Lebron. He gets stars and then they play bad with him. Dude lost with Shaq on his squad as well as Tim Duncan.

With no precedence from magic, bird and mj, he’d have no one set the bar. He would have been one of the average player junkies at the time. His game would have been much uglier.

Great thread.. Here's the problem with Lebron in the 90's and why he'd be an even bigger goat loser than he is today:

in today's era, all the teams that he loses to are 90's style teams - long-standing, organic teams that have built up great ball movement and chemistry like the Spurs, Mavs, and Warriors - Lebron has a lottery record against these teams and would similarly have a lottery record against the organic Lakers, Blazers, Suns, Sonics, Rockets, Jazz, Knicks, Pacers, Magic..... And Bulls of course.. These teams stayed together for 10-20 years in some cases and had wars with each other to make the Finals

So Lebron would get completely ragdolled in the organic 90's because it's those same organic teams that destroy his collusions and all-star team strategy today... /thread

I'll believe Lebron could win more than Mike in the 90s...

...If someone can post a 3 min. compilation of James making contested chest to chest dunks over bigs and playoff game winning shots.

LeBron would win at least 8 rings with The Great Scott Pippen in a watered down era like the 90s.

Having two players who are good at every aspect of the game of basketball isn't a disadvantage, but very much the opposite.

    Nope.

Too many chiefs, not enough indians.

Not to mention his 90s competition would be a joke by comparison. LBJ would be going from #2 options that were Duncan, Westbrook, KG, Curry, Klay, etc to 90s shit like Terry Porter, Rik Smits, Jeff Hornacek, Vlade Divac

    11 for 11. Done.

Dude was losing to teams with 2nd options in Rafer Alston and Jason Terry and losing to teams whose best player was Carlos Arroyo when he had peak Duncan and Iverson on his squads.

9-10 rings assuming health, no one in the 90s was as simultaneously athletic, strong or skilled as LeBron. He’d consistently draw double teams and pass out to snipers like Kerr and Paxson or catch lobs from Pippen while conserving energy on defense like MJ did since Pippen will guard the best player

Add Rodman and it’s unlikely this trio ever loses, LeBron is much more mentally tough than Jordan as well having grown up hardened by the street a loss of a parental figure wouldn’t keep him from performing
