Stating an obvious fact - like the fact that Ukraine cant and wont win (a fact that anyone with half a brain has known since the start of this conflict), is not "defending russia"... its defending reality, you dumb fvck.

Western media wants you to believe that Russian soldiers are disorganized and demoralized conscripts with ancient gear that are only good at gunning down old folks in the street, while the highly trained and professional Ukrainian troops are killing 3x Russians for each of their own casualties and they never ever hurt a single civilian in the Donbass.

If Russia and their soldiers are demoralized, why arent there protests in Russia? Why is Putins approval rating at record highs? How come Russia hasnt needed to conscript a single one of their civilians, while Ukraine has been forced to conscript every male aged 18-60? If Russia has been so ineffective, then why has Ukraine needed ~60b+ in aid from the west? (after ~4 months of war they are approaching Russias entire millitary budget (~69b) in foreign aid, yet still getting their asses kicked).

What should westerners think about the stories from hardened western mercenaries, who say that their brief stint in Ukraine was terrifying because it was the first time in their military career that they have ever been on the receiving end of firepower from an equivalent foe? What should we think about these hardened mercenaries warning their buddies to stay away from Ukraine because "its nothing like Iraq and Afghanistan"?

There has been an overwhelming amount of propaganda trying to convince westerners that Russia is weak and losing this war, but those of us who live in reality are not going to make the mistake of underestimating Russia while they have been utterly dominant against a Ukraine that is desperately being propped up by the entire western world.

Consider the fact that Russias military is currently getting experience fighting a near peer force that is armed and supported by NATO, while the toughest fight any western or NATO military has faced in decades has been middle eastern shepherds with ak-47s and Toyota pickups. Consider the fact that recently US military brass seems to care more about nonsense like inclusion and representation than effectiveness.

If the situation devolves into a full blown war between NATO and Russia, it will either end with NATO getting stomped after failing in their invasion into Russia (like a dozen other empires who made the mistake of underestimating Russia), or planetary nuclear annihilation.
