Sure, if the war continues for a couple more years, Russia will eventually win because of a larger population. That should be obvious to everyone. Right now though, Ukraine is holding on. Most expected the war to last 4-5 months at most.

Russia hasn't lived up to the expectations. Not even close. They will have more casualties going on the offensive versus Ukraine, which is mostly fighting a defensive war behind their own borders that they know better than Russia. Let's see what sort of casualty numbers it takes Russia to overtake Kiev. Not that putin cares about his army casualties.
