If the US is ever going to get over tribal politics we first have to do away with the dumb agenda driven shit like the OP is pushing. It's similar to the vaccine mandates. The average person on the left thought it was crazy talk. It's just too crazy to think that the government is going to force someone to get vaccinated with the Covid vaccines, else they will lose their jobs. So many democrat thought it was crazy to think that it will ever happened, yet slowly the majority were all for it. The idea was normalized. So, so, so many people thought it was crazy, the idea of vaccinate kids with the experimental mRNA vaccine, for a virus that kills 0.00% of healthy kids. Then suddenly, "We must vaccinate the children."

Look at this book A Long, Dark Shadow: Minor-Attracted People and Their Pursuit of Dignity First Edition. Despite how many people are disgusted by it, it still managed to average almost 4 stars. So many on the left calling it an important book. Thoughtful and groundbreaking.
