U.S. Stocks have officially entered a bear market

Thursday February 24, 2022, 76% of Nasdaq and 51% of S&P fell at least 20% for the year indicating the start of a bear market. Average corrections in all previous bear market have been -32.5%.

Should've seen this coming after the ridiculous runup in stocks the last two years. What goes up must come down eventually.

Everyone knew the market was going to be smashed the day the Russians attack Ukraine. Now that we know for sure what is happening, the market is going to go through a recovery. The next point to watch for is the interest rate increase, which is coming in March. Nobody knows how much so market will start to dip right before the interest rate hike. Once we know how much the hike will be, the market will go up.

What investors fear with the stock market is uncertainty. Once uncertainty is out of the way, the market recovers.
