I felt the single player campaign was a big drop off from the ps2 era and the writing wasn't as good as 4's.

Vice City is a top 5 game of all time for me, and San Andreas is not far behind.

That being said I still beat GTA 5, got it on midnight release and will most likely get GTA 6.

But also Dan Houser left Rockstar and he was basically ALL the brains behind GTA and Red Dead Redemption, so I doubt the writing and direction will ever come back to prior quality.

Maybe because v has a bit of a laidback story compared to other gta games. It's even more apparent when you compare it to other R* games like rdr2.

Played it for about 5 years on the regular. Loved it for so long but it finally got tiresome for me. Plus I like to troll and spam a lot. Totally sucked when they updated it so I could no longer lock on missiles to ground based vehicles with my harrier or fighter jet.

Lol after finishing the story, the only thing i did there was go into director mode and play as a sexy pedestrian.
