He may actually be shorter because he's slightly on the ball of his foot and old rim looks like it's dipping a little and may not actually be an exact 10ft reference.

The picture you used has an angle so your calculation isn't exactly true. He also doesn't stand upright. You can deduct his height in the same video though as he shoots freethrows. By using the middle of the baseline and the ft line you can exactly calculate his height without having to account for any distortion effects.
