The biggest knock on LeBron is that he needs teammates
In order to win chips. Why couldn’t he do it himself?

Re: The biggest knock on LeBron is that he needs teammates
My biggest knock on Lebron is that he's a whiny flopper. And after that it's that he sucks at free throws and needed more help than any other "great". Nobody can win withouth help, but he needed more than most. Which is also a byproduct of his poor leadership.
He's still fringe top ten though, which is quite an accomplishment.

Nope...
It's that he needs way more top tier help then any other all time great.
And then he still fails more often than not, loses with them and needs to reset the tip tier help to more prime top tier help.
Rinse and repeat

He is supposed to have teammates according to basketball rules
"Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately 9.4 inches (24 cm) in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket 18 inches (46 cm) in diameter mounted 10 feet (3.048 m) high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop."

I hope that answers your question, OP.

He has always lacked the killer instinct. He defers too many times when he should just be taking over. There's no reason why Lebron shouldn't be scoring 40 points a night on average.

Re: The biggest knock on LeBron is that he needs teammates
The biggest tragedy of Lebron's career is that he have had to put up with so many losers.
Sometimes I think teammates like Westbrook and Kevin Love play poorly just to make Lebron look bad. I also strongly suspect some teammates fake injuries to make Lebron look bad.

Everyone does. But lebron needs ready-made stars. Others can codevelop a team with them and make that sustainable for many years. With lebron the ready-made stars start out ok but diminish by 2 years onwards of plating with lebron.

Then who is the problem? Lebron is the common deominator.

I used to be an absolutely MASSIVE Lebron fan. But then he tried to trademark Taco Tuesday. Unforgivable!
Rotten son-of-a-Delonte.

You really are comparing Love when Lebron played with him and Westbrook of today?

Weird thread to make when prime LeBron showed he could carry mediocre rosters deep into the playoffs.

Thats because “others” take longer themselves to develop and their teams get better draft picks along the way.
Lebron single handedly dragged an awful albeit organic team to the finals as a 22 year old, which is incredible, BUT… you cant stockpile assets that way. The system doesnt reward guys for turning franchises around right away, in fact it punishes them.
Lebron is a victim of the system, plain and simple. Oppressed and taken for granted. LeBurdenBarer.
