Difficult personalities in talented people absolutely guaranteed to turn things around so my results will look better than my predecessor?
Its worth a shot when the alternative is sitting home.
I think you're overestimating how effective the 'talent' on the Nets will be as a collective basketball team. Kyrie Irving has not been an impactful player anywhere in his career. The success of his teams without him and his own lack of success outside of being teamed with LeTriumph demonstrate this.
Simmons is not proving very valuable as a playmaker given the abyssal depths his confidence has sunk to as a scorer, it's hard to create for others when youre null as a threat yourself. Also Durant is quite awkward and inept as a playmaker. There's nobody CAPABLE of making them a cohesive offense. A coach cannot scheme that kind of competence into existence.
Leading a team is just not in any of these guys skill sets. On top of which, the roster has no size and strength up front. No defense. The only thing going for them in any way is Irving and Durant can make tough shots. That's not gonna cut it against the many complete and well rounded teams out there. This isnt a matter of tinkering with lineups or making tempo adjustments. The team is fundamentally flawed across the board.
I'll be shocked if they're a .500 team by the end of this year. They're just not a good basketball team. Youre right, if Udoka somehow makes them a threat he'll deserve a ton of credit. If not - which is probable, because their flaws go well beyond coaching - he'll be stuck in a flaming toilet for some time.

Please clap.

No that was the prediction last year and tge year before. Some predicted it this year but a lot of pundits had given up on them before the start of the season.

This. This and only this. I said this all off season. The Nets did nothing about it. I kept waiting. I knew they could not win without addressing this. Why did they not address this?

Re: Bulls @ Brooklyn on TNT GT
zach lavine stepping up and winning one for deGOATzan
bulls finally have all of their perimeter guys. they didnt have much wing depth last year. come playoffs they were depleted and didnt have anything left for the bucks
having a full rotation will be everything this year. all this and without lonzo who is another crucial piece.
