To me it feels more like an Axe biopic. Particularly because of the double chin of the obese character. And whaling is still legal in Japan, making it so that Axe can never enter the ocean. Else he might get confused for a whale and die of a harpoon.

The highweight story is compelling and I don't think they could have picked a better actor to represent a beaten and broken down morbidly obese man.

But in all seriousness, this might be the first time I watch the Oscars in years if he's up for Best Actor.
