Scary thing though is that Jaylen & Tatum both have been below their previous season averages at 34.4 & 34.7% each.. There's no way their role players keep hitting at this rate all year though, I refuse to believe it. Their D has been below-average so far so it will be interesting to see if they can keep winning once the 3s stop falling at this insane rate. They have 5 role players hitting 45+% from 3 at 3+ attempts a game.. Horford is shooting 48.7% from 3 on 4.5 3PA. Last year they shot 35.6% from 3. Crazy.

Nothing they have done or said indicates that that will happen. The only quotes you will find from either on the subject are highly complimentary. When Tatum was first drafted Brown wanted him to wear jersey number 11 so that they could have a joint nickname.

I can't argue with your logic but I feel they will be ok because they generate great looks. Most of the threes are wide open and come with great space and pace, which make it difficult to guard.

There are a few nuances between this team and last year's team. The Celtics were primarily a drive-and-kick team last year and it caught up to them in the finals when Tatum/Brown would dribble into the crowd. This season, we are seeing more versatility. Everyone can move off the ball or set various screens, which makes it harder to key in on Tatum and Brown. So instead of seeing the Jays drive from the top, we see them catch the ball on the move in the paint with momentum. Tatum/Brown can play a decisive game, given those factors.

To answer I think a team that can either be physical on the screens and gum up their actions or a couple with elite rim protection. As good as the Jays are from the mid-range, I think the opponents would love for them to go iso ball. So far they have been patient when their first option gets covered up, but I think teams will test that in the playoffs.
