Peak Porzingis is the best player in the league
There's a reason he was called The Unicorn.
Peak Porzingis is better than Luka in terms of impact, always was.
Zingis could block a shot on defense, run the floor and hit a lagging 3, for a big 5 point swing.
Then hit another 3 on the next play. That's game winning swings. Zingis did that for Mavs and does that for Bullets.
No other player in the league can do that, except for a very few like Kevin Durant.
He's not consistent enough but he's easily one of the most dominant players in the league when its on.
Mavs and Luka did him wrong. White on white crime is never ok.

No, he really isn't. He is heavily dependent on his jumper, which is just ok. He shoots low 40s from midrange. For his career he shoots 35.5% from 3.He doesn't get to the rim very often.
Defensively he is respectable at protecting the rim when he is there but his rotations can be slow or just bad at times.
The only thing special about him is his height. He is better than average but not special. I can't see any scenario when he is 2nd team All NBA. Even third team would be a reach. I see him as a borderline All-Star when healthy.

Zingis is one of the best defenders in the league when healthy.
Zingis only allows 62% from 0-5%, 32% from 5-9 feet, 48% from 10-14 and 42% from 14-19 feet.
Comparison Gobert: 58%, 45%, 48% and 34%
Embiid: 65%, 40%, 43% and 47%.
Those numbers show that Porzingis is basically a big time rim protector. Not only does he block shots, but he also deters them. He is basically the best big man (after Nick Claxton) in that 5-9 feet range and he is also very adept at chasing down 3 pointers.

He played well in the bubble games before he got injured.

Didnt Clippers do to him what they did to Gobert and guard him with smaller players. He couldn't do anything because he's not athletic and wiggly like AD or thick and strong like Jokic.

If so it wasn't successful, he averaged 24/9 with 53% from 3, but got injured before Game 4.
Was never himself the next season and that obviously led to Luka freezing him out, because he barely tolerated him when he played well.

Joel Embiid is infinitely better than peak Porzingis and can do all those things you mentioned, gramps.

Except he can't.
He is a significantly worse defender.
Embiid's quite pathetic as a defender for someone his size.

I don't need to debate with you because your arguments are ridiculous.
Go watch the last quarter of the Sixers' game against Atlanta last night, Embiid won the game, he brought Philadelphia back from double digits scored 12 points straight in the fourth and got the stops on the other end as well.
Go watch it..

Gobert's numbers are way down this year so far with his new team
