And there are so many problems with that way of thinking. What that tells students in college right now majoring in Sports Journalism and who may be huge basketball fans, is that unless you are Black or a former NBA/WNBA player as j3 pointed out, then you better seek another profession. Or learn about Lacrosse or some shit. And there's actually a counter argument to j3's example: Female MLB analyst. There is no female version of the MLB. So why is a woman talking about pitch count or the grip on a slider?

If you are dumb enough to major in "sports journalism" (is that really a major?) you deserve to have your job stolen by someone who is more diverse than you

So I actually think there are two issues at play here:

1. ESPN and Disney are Woke to the core, so 5 Black faces is what they want when it comes to NBA. And they want women in the mix too.
2. A lot of former players are skipping the line and joining these networks as analysts.
