OP is half correct.

They did beat “the Lakers” fair and square, because the Lakers are mostly comprised of worthless coaches and LeTeammates whom the Celtics outclassed handily.

But they didnt beat Lebron fair and square. They needed an egregious abuse of refereeing to defeat him. So yes, the Celtics beat the Lakers without refs. But they didnt beat Lebron.
