Tonight was the greatest moment in NBA history
King Lebron James is no longer just the face of the game for the last 20 years.
He is now its face FOREVER.
Well deserved, my beautiful King

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record has stood the test of time, and it is no small feat to surpass such a legendary player. It really is a testament to Lebron's incredible talent and drive, and I am sure that he will continue adding to that record for years to come. But I wouldn't say that it will make him the face for forever, since this record will eventually be broken.
Lebron had the advantage of coming straight out of college, but he also had a lockdown season, and the Coronavirus pandemic. And scoring has gotten easier and will probably continue to get easier as the league continues adapting to and optimizing the rules.

Which is why nobody passing Lebron in the future (not gonna happen anyway) would be considered legitimate or recognized.
Lebron is the record keeper forever DEAL WITH IT.

NBA fans will in the main cheer for whoever they know best, which is the latest player. Furthermore, scoring has gotten easier in the past 18 years or so. Does this devalue LeBron James' all-time scoring record?

Even Paul Pierce admits LeBron is the GOAT now

Re: Tonight was the greatest moment in NBA history
Agree. A regular season game between two lottery teams was the greatest moment in NBA history.

Re: Tonight was the greatest moment in NBA history
I went to bed in the first quarter. I just saw it this morning. First thing that stood out to me was how poorly contested it was. Nothing to do with the accomplishment but how often do you KNOW a play is gonna be replayed all time with you on defense one on one? At least jump. Get a hand up. Make it look good in what may be the only clip your descendants will be able to find of you.
