got their vet pg. I'm guessing Sexton might be out for a while since they picked up two? I figured Jackson might get a spot. He's been playing well with the Stars and is a local high school product. Need a wing

Not sure Udoka should hang around if he's not in their plans

This could be an opportunity to promote Micah Potter and Johnny Juzang from their two-way contracts, but that would be more feasible if either guy had made himself indispensable to this point in the season. Potter has spent just 14 total minutes on an NBA court this season, and Juzang has yet to appear for the Jazz. Obviously the Jazz have had a close eye on their development and minutes with the Stars, but the fact that they haven’t turned to them for practically any minutes through 60 games hints that they might not be prime candidates for regular roster roles.
I'd say if they'd been great with the Stars you could promote them. They haven't been. Jackson has
But the other clear advantage the Jazz have if they want to use these roster spots to give in-demand prospects a reason to sign with them is that they still have some of their midlevel exception left. They can’t use all $7 million remaining without crossing the tax line, but they could divvy up $3 to 4 million (depending on the exact amount of Westbrook’s buyout) between two or three players who might give the Jazz some option years in exchange for more guaranteed money up front.
losing games should come first
The Jazz could call that same player and offer a half million, or a couple million, or even more for just 22 games worth of work. But in exchange they’d likely want some options on the back end. The Spurs did something similar with Charles Bassey’s rest-of-season (ROS) contract last week. The Celtics did so with Sam Hauser last season and now have a borderline rotation player because of the low-cost gamble.

Jackson has been having a fantastic season for the Salt Lake City Stars and is an easy move to make sure the Jazz hit their roster minimum of players. Jackson has bounced around the league but has put up good numbers and if he plays well, there’s no reason he can’t possibly make the roster next year.
No reason except Sexton, Horton-Tucker, 3 1sts and 60 million in cap space. Doubtful he's on the team next year
Dunn has also bounced around the league not able to find a home. The 5th overall pick looked like a defensive monster coming out of college but just never found a situation that he could develop properly. He’s also regularly struggled with injury. It’s a zero-risk move for a Jazz team that likely isn’t worried about racking up losses to finish the season. Is there a chance that one of these two players can be a reclamation project? Dunn is 28 while Jackson is 24, so it’s not out of the question that one of them could find a new home, albeit unlikely. Whatever happens, it should be interesting to see how these players get incorporated into the team.
like most guys that can't find their spot in the league he can't shoot

While Dunn will have to learn the Jazz system quickly, Frank Jackson is familiar with the team’s sets having spent this season with the Salt Lake City Stars.
doubt he plays. Clarkson will start at the 1 I'm guessing. Should fun for laughs maybe anyway

Andy Larsen: Meanwhile, Gregg Popovich on Will Hardy: “He’s ridiculously intelligent. And he’s a hard worker. … He was a pretty impressive individual from the get go. So I put him out on the court with the guys and found that he commanded respect very quickly, just by being himself.”

Re: 2023 post trade deadline...the tank finally appears to on
Fighting for a spot on the team to end the year, Kris Dunn — the No. 5 pick in the 2016 draft — is making the most of his opportunity. Dunn signed a 10-day contract with the Jazz this week and had to adapt to coach Will Hardy’s system and playbook — and the playstyle and tendencies of his new teammates — in a period of days. He looked like he’d been with the Jazz the whole season on Saturday night, posting a statline of 15 points, eight assists and seven rebounds while helping captain Utah’s second unit. “Kris played with a ton of confidence tonight. 13 field goal attempts and I thought they were all good ones. He did a great job bringing the ball up the floor did a good job attacking off the dribble,” Jazz coach WIll Hardy said.
