    Default Last time both 8th seeds of the 4 Major Sports moved on in the same year?

    I'm sure it's happened but it just happened tonight in the NHL.

    Both 1 seeds in each conference were eliminated tonight in game 7

    The 8th seed beating the 1st seed in NBA playoffs 7-games series used to be rare until "We Believe" Warriors, with Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, Monta Ellis, Matt Barnes and Al Harrington, beat Mavs in 2007.

    Hopefully, there will be a 10th seed upset in the future.

    It does happen a lot in Stanley Cup playoffs 7-games series though. But for Boston Bruins, which just recorded the most wins in regular season, it is more special.
