Mac Dre was one of a kind. He mixed gangster rap with party music and humor better then anyone pretty much. When we talk rap music we talk about how you can take any rap artist’s collection of slapping singles and Mac Dre has more slaps even if we are counting only ones we have forgotten about. His list of bangers are beyond prolific. He has so many legit tracks with different styles it’s hard to believe. Everyone of his songs he has a different flow, almost none are even similar. He was different. I remember listening to KMEL on my way to work when he died and they had his mom come on the station.

Andre Nicky was a bay area legend in his own way as well. If you were in SF in the 90’s you know all about nicky. Some of his shit is repetitive and really out there but his creativity and style was second to none.

I could spam this thread for 100 pages but i’ll just leave a quick artist list and a few andre tracks

    Mac Dre
    Nicky
    E-40
    Richie Rich
    RBL Posse
    Too Short
    Dubee
    Mac Mall
