For small time actors and actresses who get paid terribly, yes. For higher tiers like Danny Trejo, not really, but it is good to see him at least support struggling others.

fck no. they get paid fairly relative to their contribution towards the project. they are fighting for residuals, and it's primarily writers that are striking. they are upset because their residuals are low compared to the other players involved in each project. but they are simple plug and play writers, your favorite show probably has gone through several different writing teams through the course of the series. they're behaving as if the IP belongs to them, as if they bankrolled the entire project and wrote the initial script for the show...the people that took the biggest risk and brought forward the original idea are the ones that deserve the biggest slice of the pie. it's no wonder that the people striking are backed by liberals, they think in the same manner of "yours is mine". no bitch, unless you are personally taking a big risk, or your bringing the prestige of being a notable writer/actor/producer/etc. it sucks but that's the way capitalism works and why we have our freedoms (for now). the moment you start mandating "everyone deserves a fair share of the pie", the people (banks, networks) will not be taking the risk to fund these ventures because the risk to reward ratio isn't in their favor. bunch of idiots that are behaving like 5 year olds. the networks will WIN, they can holdout longer than you. all these writers are accomplishing is hurtig businesses that depend on the industry (catering, electricians, technicians, and other industry dependent services) as well as putting at risk the faith of certain shows. some shows will be delayed indefinitely.
