For small time actors and actresses who get paid terribly, yes. For higher tiers like Danny Trejo, not really, but it is good to see him at least support struggling others.

Writers are the only people who think they are entitled to collect money every time someone lays eyes on their work.

I have no sympathy for either side. If the Hollywood cesspool crumbles and implodes, so much the better for our society.
