Barnes plays like a guy who hasn't been playing basketball very long. Like a talented 16 year old who could make a college team if he tried hard but won't, playing against other teenagers at the Y.

The Raptors will do well to deal Siakam soon. He's a good player, but watching him and Barnes take turns doing the exact same backdown thing every possession is brutal and ineffective basketball in this era. And since Siakam is way better at it, it makes no sense to give Barnes the keys to the offense. You gotta set him loose and see what you've got.

I have a bad feeling these seemingly-infinite potential guys (Barnes and Mobley) are going to turn out less like less like Magic and KG and more like Diaw and 'gentle Draymond' than people think. Guys who can't shoot, man, they just... can't shoot. Not only shoot, but perfect any given offensive skill. They'll look like they're improvising every time on offense, until they retire. It's way more common for guys to not perfect their craft than to perfect it.
