2018 *asterisk* First year it went from five seasons after retirement to four seasons. Steve Nash and Ray Allen (both retired in 2014) benefited from this. Jason Kidd and Grant Hill retired in 2013.

It's clearly either '09 or 2020, I'd probably give the slight nod to 2020 despite Jordan being in the other one.

2020 is the only year where all the entries are consensus recognized as top 20 players, with two of them considered top 10 ( Kobe is fringe depending on who you ask).

1978's is pretty underrated with Arizin, Pollard, Fulks, and Hagan

By careers, definitely 2020.
By SPEECHES, 2009 was very good - particularly DRob's, Stockton's and Jerrry Sloan's - so inspiring. MJ's speech was typical MJ.
