Bam is like a child compared to those guys. You needed a midrange jumper to be a super star in that era if you weren't a center. MJ, Malone, Barkley, Clyde, Reggie you name it... they all had little jumpers to contend with the packed paints.
Bam is just lucky to have a useful teammate in jimmy butler lmao.

He's not bulldozing over 80s and 90s defenders. He wasnt able to do that with JJ Barrea in his prime, no way hes doing it to Mason and McKey.
Good point I missed. In addition to the towering 7 foot center defensive rim protector class you had to deal with bully goons on the way like X-man, Mason, Oakley, Rodman, Malone, Kemp, Mahorn, LJ, the Davis bros, etc. It goes on and on. The most annoying tough guy today is probably Dillon Brooks. There really are no enforcer types anymore. Maybe dray? And that's it. The goonmanship of the 90s was absurdly tougher.

In the 90s Lebron would be a more athletic and less handsome Patrick Ewing.

If you think any players of GOAT-esque caliber wouldn't dominate in other eras you're an idiot. Like tpols.

If you think that the guy with the most choke jobs of all time is GOAT-esque, then you're an idiot.
But we already all knew you were.

He would be as dominant as Shaq for his position but just like 90s Shaq he wouldnt be as successful.

LeBron averaged 30ppg in the mid 2000s, the slowest paced era of basketball ever.
The 80s was one of the highest paced eras.

Its crazy to me to see some of these guys saying he couldn't do this and that with that eras bigs. We dont remember that in miami Lebron was rumored to weigh 260ish pounds, thats more than almost any 90s center save Shaq. Put it in perspective Embiid outweighs the great 90s center class by around 30 lbs, so does Joker.

Lebron played before 3pt shooting stretch bigs and was pretty unbelievable. And crazy as it sounds would be more dangerous from 3 than the majority of the 90s stars. One last thing, Bam is roughly the same size as Zo was in the 90s and he fared just fine.

you don't know that he would have been more dangerous from 3. Likely he would have been working on mid range and post game more not taking 1000's of 3's

Right and in that same hypothetical he's a good mid range shooter from dedication basically only to that and he still dominates lol. Same end result with maybe less points? Who's to say.

Missed this post.
Since we're doing hypotheticals, LeBron would've worked on his post game and mid range game more. He would've been significantly better from those areas, according to your logic.
