With all due respect you got this wrong. Ayton is not talented. People are charmed by #1 draft pick status. What does he do well? Finishing. After that his options on offense are all bad ideas. His defense was okay. It was never going to lead a team or mature into an identity. Evaluators just saw athlete and been giving a benefit of the doubt forever on him. He was not an all time defensive force in college either. There is nothing he has done at any level to believe he will be. Except this one matchup with the Joker?

Back to my original point. If he was talented, you would easily and readily be able to point me towards evidence of him flashing his passing for example. You see production. How much of that production went out the door when cp3 did? What other ways does Ayton contribute to winning if he is not finishing those plays?

I am inclined to say you are full of it. His ppg production in his second year was impressive if you did not watch him play. He didn't make that leap on offense until he gave up that broken face up jumper he loved as a rookie/soph.
