In his defense he has every right to be scared. Had he been caught slipping his whole career could have been jeopardy. We've already seen instances of athletes being punished and losing scholarships over repeating rap lyrics.

i think the man was more concerned with maintaining respect for his boys than fear of being ridiculed by society. i would feel awkward and just straight up weird acting out otherwise if i were in his shoes.

Well if he's censoring himself then it's either out of "respect" or it's out of fear. It's probably a little mixture of both.

In either case it's ridiculous. It's just a song. If anything I find it disrespectful to white people that they're made to feel this way and have to constantly walk on eggshells.

I really don't think I'm exaggerating here in suggesting that his career might have been jeopardy had he said the full lyrics. You don't even know if his teammates would have been cool with it. People are looking for any excuse these days to punish so called racist white people.

Every time someone you don't agree with has an opinion, this is the automatic reply: "Who gives a ****?" or "Who cares?" or "What does it matter?"


It's done in an attempt to minimalize the argument or position being held by the person you disagree with. Rather than have a healthy debate on the subject matter, or ignore it completely, this dismissal of the argument or position by the person or group you disagree with is almost always what's used when deciding to interact with said person or group. It's rather pathetic honestly because it doesn't make your position look any better or hold any more weight as opposed to the position of the person or group you disagree with. It almost looks like you're waving a white flag by not engaging intellectually and honestly.

It's so comical how you all do this time and time again. And what's more hilarious is that your argument of dismissal can be dismantled by counter-attacking your dismissal with a dismissal of your dismissal. They can easily come back and ask you, "Well, why do you care about what we care about? No one's talking to you." But....you take the bait time and time again and only the astute non-sheep people can see right through that pathetic tactic.
