Not what is happening in reality though. Deportation is currently at a high. Higher percentage of illegals were deported in first 2yrs under biden than Trump. The difference is that there are a larger sheer number of people trying to enter America under biden than Trump.

Republicans are letting them in
https://www.businessinsider.com/troy...l-biden-2024-1
As senators work on a compromise deal to address border security and immigration, at least one Republican is suggesting politics is a key motivator for him.
"Let me tell you, I'm not willing to do too damn much right now to help a Democrat and to help Joe Biden's approval rating," Republican Rep. Troy Nehls of Texas told CNN this week. "I will not help the Democrats try to improve this man's dismal approval ratings. I'm not going to do it. Why would I?"

A bipartisan border security and immigration deal, which would unlock the stalled aid package for Ukraine blocked by House Republicans, has reportedly been the object of talks between the White House and key senators. In a joint statement issued by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell before the Senate went into recess for the holidays, the two said that negotiations "continue to make headway."
But Johnson has been undermining the importance of such a bipartisan deal, saying that it's impossible to engage in honest talks with Democrats about the topic.
The bipartisan border security deal has been said to focus on tougher asylum claims, allowing border authorities to more easily removed migrants who are found not to be allowed to stay; a bigger investment to improve border security than the $14 billion initially proposed by Biden; and a reform of the U.S. migration policies that would deter people from crossing illegally and instead encourage them to apply legally.
They're literally saying we can't fund Ukraine help because it'd be better spent here, but when it's time to vote on funding more border security they all reject it. What's worse is how they keep getting away with it never facing any pushback from media who just both-sides everything, framing everything as a loss for Biden.

the worst quote here is
"I will not help the Democrats try to improve this man's dismal approval ratings. I'm not going to do it. Why would I?"
Uh… because you swore an oath to the constitution to look out for America’s best interest? That should be regardless of who the president is. But because it’s a bill proposed by dems under a democratic potus, keep blocking it. They truly have no values. Zero.

Big news in Lil Donny's world.
A federal appeals panel ruled Tuesday that Donald Trump can face trial on charges that he plotted to overturn the results of the 2020 election, sharply rejecting the former president’s claims that he is immune from prosecution while setting the stage for additional challenges that could further delay the case.
The ruling is significant not only for its stark repudiation of Trump’s novel immunity claims but also because it breathes life back into a landmark prosecution that had been effectively frozen for weeks as the court considered the appeal. Yet the one-month gap between when the court heard arguments and issued its ruling has already created uncertainty about the timing of a trial in a calendar-jammed election year, with the judge overseeing the case last week canceling the initial March 4 date.
Trump’s team vowed to appeal, which could postpone the case by weeks or months — particularly if the Supreme Court agrees to take it up. The appeals panel, which included two appointees by President Joe Biden and one Republican-appointed judge, gave Trump a week to ask the Supreme Court to get involved.
The eventual trial date carries enormous political ramifications, with special counsel Jack Smith’s team hoping to prosecute Trump this year and the Republican front-runner seeking to delay it until after the November election. If Trump were to defeat Biden, he could presumably try to use his position as head of the executive branch to order a new attorney general to dismiss the federal cases he faces or potentially could seek a pardon for himself.

Lil Donny must either win the election to pardon himself or beg the Supreme Court to reverse the decision.

this proposed bill doesn't close off our borders. it's a bullshit bill. it continues to allow illegal immigrants into the country under the guise of asylum seekers further feeding the infestation in sanctuary cities.

Would you please explain why this senate bill is necessary when Biden has this:
(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

right wingers keep forgetting , and trump banks on their education (high school level ) to try to push him self over the edge.
If he was standing on the edge of the great divide , I would most certainly do my part
