I can accept sitting out for rest if it is:

    a) against some bad team on the road
    b) at the end of the season (April) when HCA is already determined

Nobody should take a night off against a good team midseason if they are not injured. Especially not at home in front of their fans. If Jokic needs rest then he should rest after the next two games. Playing against the 76ers and the Celtics is important. Against the Wizards on the 21st he can rest. That's fine.

BTW, the next two games are potential Finals appetizers. The 76ers have a chance getting there this year. The team is good and finally they have a coach. And Boston absolutely has a chance. The Nuggets also have a chance. So this week there is some valuable information to be gained. Nuggets on the road against possibly the two best teams in the East. (I do think Philly and Boston are the top teams as I view the Bucks and the Heat a distant 3rd and more distant 4th.)

I hope we see some Bball Paull vs Joker sometime this game.

    Now that could be interesting.

Good game so far. Jokic plays decent, Embiid plays really well. Playoff atmosphere.

    The Sixers' zone is ass.

I hope we see less in the second half.

The 76ers do a great job negating Jokic' playmaking. They are denying most potential passes to him where he would receive it at the top of the key, the spot he usually does the most damage from. Philly is also doing well defending cuts. The score doesn't show it but it's a good defensive strategy. Embiid's shooting is very smooth.

They wanted to limit Jokic and that actually works fine. He has 15 points but it's not his usual game.

Yeah but Embiid as the last line goes to stop the defender and Joker just grabs any offensive rebound he wants.

He will impact the game no matter what look they through at him.

I'm sure we get to the fourth and we will see more man to man coverage

Both Embiid and Jokic with 9/16 from the field entering the 4th. Got to fight for everything there. Embiid with more FTs but that was to be expected. Neither team playing their usual games both came into the game with defensive plans.

Went in and checked boxscore, both Jokic and Embiid 10/17, then how is Embiid at 34 and Jokic at 23 I think. Then I look at freethrows and yeah.

Murray with the two turnovers in a row.

He's a bit of a choker with the ball in tight spots.
