I’m shocked as Doc’s strengths (charisma, fatherly calm personality, spectacular ability to connect with so many different players, especially difficult to manage types) those strengths aren’t necessarily what the Bucks needs are… they need an offensive PNR/PNP genius who can really develop Dame/Lopez, Dame/Giannis, Dame/Middleton offensive game, before they meet Boston or Philly in a series….

Are they bringing back Stotz since Griffin crazy a$$ is gone ? If so, Doc+Terry might be able to right the ship.

Will it be enough before the post season to challenge a healthy Boston or healthy Philly ? Bucks certainly have enough talent to do it. People still sleep in just how great a post season asset Brook Lopez is.

yeah, it’s unlikely Adrian ever gets another chance again … he is gonna be relagated to a salty assistant the rest of his damn career now lmmfao. Nicca did it to himself with so much paranoid insecure bullsh!t.

And yeah, this is for sure a panick hiring, to make Giannis NOT feel like a season in his prime was wasted.

Milwaukee will find some insightful assistants to make those needed in-game and more importantly IN-SERIES adjustments for the squad …

… I’d recommend they beg Stotz back into that practice facility asap. Doc is a calm, composed, cool professional at all times, he just isn’t the X&O genius many assume given his resume …. and Doc most definitely would never ever ever pull any silly insecure childish sh!t on Terry like Adrian did lol … and Terry is just the man they needed/need-again lol

I think we've all worked with that guy who tells great stories, brings a room to tears with the occasional joke but is only minimally competent at his job yet keeps getting promoted.

Doc Rivers is the prostitute of coaches now... much like Mike D'Antoni was.

    Dude just gets passed around

I guess the good news is you'll hear his voice less on TV.

Over 20 coaches would gladly trade rosters with him right now and I'm being conservative. This isn't just any job, this is a job with a real contender featuring an mvp candidate. Denver and Boston are the only teams that feel better set to make the Finals right now. You can argue that Rivers isn't that good but this is a job that every coach would want.

NBA front offices recycling coaches like this means one of a few possible things.

    In this case:

    1) Giannis demanded it.
    2) The owner demanded it.
    3) The GM is bad at their job and doesn't know what to do.

    Or some combination thereof.

I leave it to you to decide.

Doc is not a good coach but he has won a title before so it's not the end of the world. Coaches matter but the roster/players matter by far the most. Let us see.

I rescind my previous post ...

At this time Doc is the best choice = why ??

Doc even though from Chicago , lived and played for Marquette , so his ties with the city of Milwaukee is huge.
On op of that he knows Philly team inside and out as well as Boson.

I expect Bucks in the ECF's now.

This won't end well for anyone involved. They would have been better served yanking a defensive minded coach out of college. Doc is horrible but can manage egos. Has Giannis and Dame gone full prima donnas behind the scenes?

Former players really hurt Doc’s reputation by admitting he literally “does not make adjustments” either in-game or in the series, and relies on players to figure it out in their own….

Say what we will about his actual coaching ability as far as X&O’s

…. But one thing that is certainly great about him is his voice and personality. Dude is a great father figure to calm so many of his young players finding their way in the NBA. Unlike Mark Jackson or Kenny Smith … Doc has a personality that is almost universally likable.
