Did I put you on that song some time ago to make a similar point? Anyway…yes. It’s when the barrier between sports and the streets has been crossed. You’re still at a sporting event but sports ended…now it’s just life and death. Some real

The first two elbows are sports. The rest?

The result was definitely on the level of a four, but if a fight is going on and you run up on it?

“Don’t you know I go hard to the fullest? Get involved, and I got you playing dodgeball with bullets”

    Situation.

I think you have to be the intended target of a four Bowen incident and the target can’t believe it’s self-defense. The malice is key.

Kermit just turned and swung at who was running up. That he ended up with his spinal fluid pouring down his throat was tragic, but I believe unintended. 2.5 Bowens. 3 tops. I can’t make it a four just because he threw a hell of a punch, and Rudy was running into it. Just a perfect storm of terrible.

Only because it connected. Been plenty of NBA players to throw haymakers but they miss 99% of the time. Kermits landed flush. "Precision beats power, timing beats speed".

Yeah, this would have been at minimum a 3 Bowen if this connects.

Yeah, I think Shaq missed dudes on purpose with those swings, same when he whiffed on Barkley, he knew it was too dangerous to actually land blows at his size so he just swung to send a message and blow off steam, he wasnt gonna mess around and send someone to the morgue.

Didn’t wanna make a whole other topic but it’s just hilarious how obvious he was with it. Dude was a downright villain. Just a bad person even ignoring the off the court stuff. It’s rare you can say that but with him you can.

Karl Malone was…just a bad human being for some of that. And you could make a whole second video just on times he pretended to accidentally kick people

There was a site up in the early days of the internet already listing him as the greatest menace in history just off kicking people in the balls.

He might have the best case to be pure uncut scum in basketball history.

I’ve been trying to figure out how it didn’t result in a brawl. Even the people who weren’t exactly friends on my high school team….you them like that? Sports are done for the moment. How much of a dick could that kid be for nobody to take issue with that play?

But yeah I can never understand what goes thru someones head when they commit a foul like that. Even IF the other guy was playin like a dirty asshole the whole game, you take a huge risk with your own reputation and potential criminal liability doing some shit like that. Theres plenty of ways to get your cheap shots in without putting a guy at risk of paralysis or death. Just… why would you ever??

Also offensive players IMO should always slow down and just shield with their bodies when they go up in those breakaway situations, to prevent some psycho from doing exactly that. Dont leave yourself that vulnerable.

imagine if a play like that had resulted in Derrick roses injury? Or somebody like Grant Hill? The person who did it would be an actual danger visiting that city in the future wouldn’t they? It would go deeper than sports right?
