Mavs really did have insanely great team chemistry today with the new players.
Championship cruise level.
Rebounding edge heavy most of the game.
GREAT ENERGY.

NBA lottery pick
Re: OKC Thunder @ Dallas Mavericks 2/10 3pm
Luka Doncic
Kyrie Irving
Tim Hardaway II
Derrick Lively II
Josh Green
Dante Exum
Daniel Gafford
Maxi Kleber
PJ Washington
Derrick Jones Jr
Jaden Hardy
Dwight Powell
That roster, fully healthy, can beat any NBA squad in a 7-game series besides:
Healthy Denver
Healthy Boston

They can beat anyone including Denver and Boston
This is a team that I believe can go another level in the playoffs

Great start for the new guys, didn't watch the game, but seems promising.
Overall, this team will live and die with if Kyrie and Maxi stays healthy.
As long as Luka and Kyrie are both on the court, they can beat anyone and Kleber is the culture guy that makes everyone try a little harder on defense.
Too early to say if the new guys work out. Grant looked great in the first few games, but seems promising.

He practically palmed it, double dribbled it, and carried it all in the same move. If you dont wanna give defenses a COMPLETE disadvantage you could at least start by calling those.
How are you going to call palming in real time when a guy like Kawhi or MJ are handling the ball with their huge hands? You can't. Not unless you have an advanced AI for refs.

Didn't say the Mavs were bad nor the Lakers. They are currently play-in teams with guys that have a spotty injury or mental history. What predictions did I make for the Jazz? That they wouldn't do what needs to be done to win? I've never been wrong in that

The thing you have to understand is, just because the play-in team Toody led last year was dispatched easily in the first round, doesnt guarantee all of them will be. The Heat were a play-in team last year and made the finals. Eight seeds have upset one seeds in previous years as well. Toody wasnt able to do it, but others have. So to write off teams based on where they stand today, that doesnt make sense.
Toody has also struggled in the playoffs as a higher seed. He just doesnt have a good track record in the playoffs, spanning two different teams. Maybe youre projecting how things usually end up for him onto other players? But that's not necessarily going to be the case.

Haven't written anyone off. A lot of ball to be played. The odds are against teams with old guys that can't stay on the floor or guys who are due to check out mentally yet again. Being a high seed has better odds than having to win games even to get into a series. Just the way it is. Again facts.
Gobert's track record is fine. Two playoff upsets as the lower seed. Lost one as the higher seed. Not sure they were favored though since they obviously weren't as good as their seed. Funny how everything gets turned into Gobert though.

Because you dont hold him to the same standard of evaluation as every other player.

Same standard. Impact. When you make bad teams good you get my respect.
