Default NYC Subway, aggressor shot with his own gun

Uncensored version: Video shows moments before Brooklyn subway shooting (nypost.com)

Harrowing footage captured the violent clash between two men on a Brooklyn subway car — and the sheer panic among commuters after one of the brawlers was shot aboard the rush-hour train Thursday.

The video, shot by a passenger on a northbound A train, corroborated earlier witness accounts shared with police, showing one man provoking another before at least four gunshots rang out on the crowded train as it pulled into the A/C Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets station.

Police said the agitator, 36, was shot with his own gun when the other man, 32, managed to grab it away from him and open fire.

But before the shooting, the two strangers tussled for several minutes as others on the train pleaded for them to stop, noting there were children aboard.

The 36-year-old man was even stabbed by a woman as the pair sparred. The woman was said to be riding with the 32-year-old man on the train at the time of the incident, but she later fled. Police are now searching for her.

“I’ll beat you up!,” the 36-year-old, wearing a black sweatshirt and yellow baseball cap, can be seen shouting in the other man’s face, according to the video obtained by The Post.

I have multiple friends who work in the city. I hear nightmare stories all the time. You can't ever ride the subway in comfort and peace because you are constantly on alert. Sooo many mentally ill and violent people roaming about. Guys shooting up, jerking off, etc.

    It's really sad.

NYC actually has a low murder rate in comparison to other large cities. And public transportation is usually an ugly scene everywhere. But the NY Subway is pretty unique blend of humans due to the fact that many don't own a car in NYC. So you can have a high earner sitting next to a junkie.

Crime in the NYC is one of the top 3 issues in NYC at the moment. New York State deployed the National Guard to help combat subway crime. And Off the Court comes in to tell us it's not so bad, public transportation is ugly everywhere else.

Why does he feel the need to defend it? Is it because of the Democrat no bail laws?

Is RRR3 from NYC? How does he perceive the issue of subway crime in the city?

New York City's murder rate is (3.4) it's not even in the top 50

It's because NYC is largely gentrified.

What does that article have to do with the fact that crime has gotten so out of control in the NYC subway (particularly after NY bail reform laws), that the governor deployed the National Guard?

I see you went with "murder" there, but what about crime in general, genius??

NYC is 95th overall for all violent crime

And 96th overall for all property crime.

Literally one of the safest big cities in the county.

    Again, because of gentrification.

So then you already know. As long as poor people are preying on poor people, lets be honest, none of us really care except for the good people in the ghetto getting victimized.

But in New York, you have middle income to upper income people getting victimized. That's gonna grab headlines. Doesn't help their poverty rate jumped 30% in 2 years. It's the highest since Obama was in office

    Normal Person:

"I'm skeptical about riding the subway because there's a chance you could end up being harassed by a mentally ill stranger..."

    OTC:

"Aha! Did you know that New York City had only the 95th highest murder per capita rate in the year 2019!?!? Did you!?!?"

Look at total crime. It's below 100k offenses during the Trump years. Total crime was above 100k under Obama, drops in 2017. Goes up again over 100k in for 2021

    Huh?

That link is "crime" I listed both violent and property

And real talk, violent crime is way more meaningful than anything else. If your car gets stolen your insurance will handle it. If you get killed no one can reverse that.
