Which players are untouchable?
Which players can you not ask for in a trade? (You can ask but the answer will be no every time.)
1) Who do you not trade in a 1-1 swap?
2) Is there anybody you don't trade for anything in return?

Are you trading LeBron if it's not him wanting out? Isn't that a marketing nightmare?

Re: Which players are untouchable?
Here’s the thing: once you establish the untradables, then anything beneath them is automatically tradable.
I might put the only ones as completely untradable now as Joker, Giannis, and Wemby. Maybe Steph, but if Denver called up GS and said Joker for Steph, the Warriors would be crazy to turn it down. Crazier to turn down Wemby for Steph.
Same goes for LeBron. There are probably 10 guys in the League that the Lakers should take for him, if given the opportunity. But none of this is likely to happen.
As a practical matter, guys like Luka, SGA, Tatum, are also off-limits, simply because no two players equals their value and so they would have to be exchanged for one of the truly untradables.

You dont think given Steph's age, and where the team is currently headed (nowhere) that they wouldnt listen to a trade offer for... Zion, for instance?
Let's say Zion started forcing the Pels hand to move him, and they offered him to the Warriors for Steph and one of the young guys... Kuminga or Podziemski, and a bunch of draft picks. You dont think the Warriors take that phone call?

Re: Which players are untouchable?
The only legit answer is Luka, Giannis, Wemby and Jokic.
Everyone else is either too old to where you would be an absolute dumbass not to trade one of the above players for them (Lebron, Steph for example) or they're just not as good even though they're young (Ant, for example)

Knicks all da way
Re: Which players are untouchable?
I would throw sga and ant in there as well
-
Re: Which players are untouchable?
Ant isn't untradable. If the Mavs called them up and offered Doncic right now the Timberwolves would accept that. So Ant can't be untradable.
Those four guys above, their teams wouldn't accept a trade even if it was for one of the other 3 guys. For example, The Mavs aren't trading Doncic for Jokic.
SGA may have an argument, but I still feel like if the Mavs said Doncic for SGA, the Thunder would accept that.

Eddy Curry’s definitely not untouchable.
In fact, he wanted Dave to touch it.

Steph's not on that list. Warriors have a youth core and are getting close to wanting to blow it up anyways. If you offer them someone like Ja they'd do it.
Speaking of which here's some more names:
Embiid
Zion
Luka
SGA
Ant
Ja

Re: Which players are untouchable?
Do you really think JA is untouchable? They would 100 percent trade him for a number of players around the league.
This isn't even a debate.

For various reasons I dont think Embiid, Zion, and Ja are “untradeable.” They all have some degree of baggage I suspect their teams could be convinced to offload for a quality return. The price would be steep, but untradeable means “We arent picking up the phone.” I dont think those three are in that territory. Embiid maybe, Zion and Ja I dont think so.

Re: Which players are untouchable?
Jokic and Yama are the only guys I think their team wouldnt even answer a phone call.
If you call the Mavs and offer Giannis for Luka, the Mavs will think about it. If you offer Luka for SGA, the Thunder will think about it. If you offer Jokic for Giannis, or Wemby for Embiid, etc. these teams will at least hear the offer and sleep on it. Doesnt mean they will ultimately agree, but theyd take the call and hear your offer.
Theres no scenario where Denver trades Jokic for anything a single team could offer, nor one for San Antonio and Yama. They wouldnt even take the phone call, because it’s simply not happening.
I think thats really about it.

The ONLY untradeable player is LeBron. We need to get that clear right off the bat. Or theres gonna be a problem.
