Those aren't really full blown disses, both dudes are putting out feelers and seeing which one actually goes hard first.

Kendrick is a pretentious guy and living off his good stuff from... a decade ago. Cole is a dude who I've never taken all that serious although he's a talented dude who just spits real shit.

Time for Kendrick to show he actually is the top dog, having a 2 bar diss for attention doesn't cut it for me

J Cole is weak as hell for this, literally put out a diss track on Kendrick then apologized a couple of days later. He is really the only current rapper who you could compare to Kendrick in terms of greatness and he backed out. We all know Drake isn't on the level of these guys and I doubt he responds to the Kendrick diss. Kendrick just solidified himself as the best of his era.

He shouldn't have put a diss track out to begin with though. None of these guys have any real animosity. At best they have a competitive rivalry. No need for them to tear each other down.

I'll admit that when I was younger I got a lot of entertainment from all those classic rap beefs in the 90's and 00's, but in retrospect they did more harm than good and a lot of people took things too far.
