Most people have that opinion because it's the correct one. If you follow a sports team you're going to care about wins and not stats at the end of the day. If a guy can't win consistently you're not just going to keep sucking them off for their individual performance while your team gets embarrassed regularly.

Look at who I'm replying to. Bro rlly used finals MVPs like that makes 4 titles better than 5. AD was the real MVP of the 2020 team and Kobe was the real MVP of the '01 squad.

Championships are what they play for. Bron used every available move he had to stack the chips in his favor and couldn't get to 5 while KB wasted his peak years on a rebuilding team. Took Kobe 14 years to get to 5 as well while Bran's still looking for his in year 21.

Kobe already had 5 rings by the end of his 7th Finals. Took Bran 10 Finals to win 4. Bran thought he could come to LA and be the next Kobe with a superstar big man teammate in his prime and all he has to show for it is 7th seed/lottery and 1 bubble chip.

Pre-prime Kobe won 3 with Shaq. Bran who's still putting up great numbers can't even make the Finals with peak/prime AD unless they're playing at Disney World. Heck, they couldn't even do better than finish as a 7th seed in 5 out of 6 seasons.
