I don't understand it. I feel like they are giving the election to Trump, but I can't understand why. I have to go deep on conspiracies at that point, but the idea that Shapiro wasn't a "VP type" is crazy if you consider the prospects of winning. If they win can't win otherwise, VP is better than nothing. It's a great start for 28, unless they think Kamala is gonna run again (assuming she wins.) It's hard to see what their plan is, unless their plan is to lose.

Maybe they are gonna dump the whole squad and people like Kammy / Walz and are sacrificing them in this election, then bring in a more moderate seeming person like Shapiro and make him a centrist.

I also believe she is being used as a sacrificial lamb. They know trump is bullet proof in this election. Imagine running michelle and/or gruesom and then they get slaughtered by trump, there's no coming back from that. They would have wasted 2 candidates for 2028.

She's gonna play games about it being the scheduled debate, but be real, Biden did drop out. It does make sense for them to work out something new. She doesn't want to debate him, imo, and will stay with the ABC stuff and debate a chair. It'll be interesting if she faces off somewhere else, but I kinda think she won't.

Trump is Trump and he doesn't like being forced into something, so I can understand why he'd not show up even if they couldn't get another debate, but it's v strange that ABC would still hold it with only one candidate and not let them try to work something out.

Biden dropping out and Trump getting shot at are two immensely consequential things that people have just swept under the rug. It's insane.
