"Vice President Harris was mocked online for requiring campaign rallygoers to present a government-issued ID upon entry, despite the Democratic presidential nominee opposing voter ID laws.

Ahead of Harris’ rally alongside vice presidential running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in Arizona on Friday, her campaign sent out an email advising that only confirmed RSVPs will be admitted.

The email specified the event would take place at Desert Diamond Arena, located 15 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix, with attendees being admitted Friday between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., according to KTAR. The campaign reportedly said the Arizona Democratic Party would send out "non-transferrable invitations" by email on Thursday afternoon to attend Friday's event.

Well...regardless of how you feel about voter ID laws, given what just happened at a similar rally less than a month ago I would think erring on the side of caution with the guest list seems like a reasonable thing to do. Especially since it was apparently an invite-only event.

I could see how one would get there, especially since Kamala's comments are elementary and cringey as hell at times. But connecting the two is a little bit of a reach to me.

She's held rallies before last Friday and didn't require government ID that I know of.

It probably has more to do with the heckling she got inside at the Detroit rally by pro Palestinian protesters just last week. If she can't handle that, just wait till she sees the thousands that will protesting at the DNC in Chicago.
