    That was pretty cool.

I've noticed that a lot of liberals have an irrational hatred of Elon Musk, because the media told them to. So I wonder what such a person feels when watching such a remarkable achievement. It has to be an insane complexity of emotions. On the one hand, they must think it was cool, while at the same time trying to suppress that feeling that they think it's cool. And at the same time they must also be wishing that it would have crashed in a spectacular manner, with Elon losing tens of millions of dollars. And then talking about what they're going to eat, if a thread was created showing the explosion.

Great. Now we know we can save on costs. Now let’s load up all the Liberals and shoot them into space.

Yesterday I noticed that this was not front page news in any of the major news website. If it weren't for this thread, I probably still wouldn't have known about it.

I came across this post on YouTube.

I hate to acknowledge this is even a thing, I want to banish the thought, but the FAA's intransigence and last minute approval of this flight under pressure, combined with the fact that Musk will be campaigning for Trump over the next several weeks, leads me to conclude that they wanted to delay this success until AFTER the election. That's why the FAA (which answers directly to the current administration) kept finding excuses to delay the flight and push it past election day. Word must have gotten out that SpaceX was supremely confident on this test, and that it was going to be big. They didn't want a triumphant Musk campaigning with Trump, as that could be enough to tilt this close election in their favor.

And it's not just the executive branch and the FAA trying to undermine SpaceX. The media is clearly onboard as well. Look at CNN, MSN, ABC, Reuters, etc. This should be front page news on all the major mainstream news sites, but there's no mention of this on any of their sites. Nowhere on the entire front page... really? And you want us to believe the media is just innocently passing on the news to us. No! They're clearly suppressing HUGE stories and manipulating the public.

All this paints a picture of a media landscape which is 100% in the pocket of this current Biden\Harris administration. They're not independent at all. So we have the federal govt misusing agencies like the FAA for their own political gain and the media serving this administration in a very direct way. It's very distasteful seeing all this. This is space exploration and the pinnacle of human achievement; we should be above playing politics over all this. I'm so utterly disgusted with my government at this point.

Reminds me of the Twitter files. At the time, Elon Musk was the absolute main topic in corporate news. Every single day. Then the day following the Twitter files, not a peep.

People forget, but I cannot stress just how much Elon Musk was being talked about every single day, perhaps as much as Lebron on espn.com, to all of a sudden stop.
