Hows the future GOAT doing?
Somethings wrong with the box score feed because it says V-Dub has 8 points on 2-13 with 6 boards and 1 assist halfway thru the third.
But he's the future GOAT so obviously something is being lost in transmission. What are his real stats? Is anyone watching who can share?

He really loves that three-point shot. He's 1/7 in 22 minutes.

He's forcing too much. Overall just a bad three quarters offensively for him.

I like the guy and Im not rooting against him but some folks were really claiming emphatically hes the future GOAT when he hadnt proven he was good at anything besides blocks yet.
Just shows you how quick people are to go to extremes.

I tend not to pay attention to whatever people yell so early in a player's career. He's got GOAT potential, but so has a shit ton of other players. He's fun to watch because he can do so much, but he's young, the biggest teacher is failure.

Wemby had 9 dunks in one half as a rookie. The record for a single game is 13 by Shaq. His most realistic pathway toward offensive success is as a downhill threat. And a commitment to strength and conditioning is what's needed to get there.

Bronny's doing just fine, OP. He says thanks for asking.

He's doing great last time I checked

NBA rookie of the year
Re: Hows the future GOAT doing?
Wemby will again have his best offensive nights this season as a downhill threat, against teams who lack multiple long, agile rim protectors. Dallas has a plethora of them. Lively, Gafford, Maxi, that new 7’3” G league kid they have who might be ready for some real minutes later this season.

Re: Hows the future GOAT doing?
I'm reserving judgement. Its too easy to make sweeping statements the first week as guys get into game shape ( granted he played 2 months ago in the Olympics so its not like he hasnt played high level ball since last season.)
I still say this dude ultimately is gonna be a game changing GOAT level defensive force, but I don't know if he's also gonna be your lead scorer on a title team. It's too soon to really project where the apex of his offensive ability ends up. Right now in season 2 it doesn't look like he mentally took it up a gear as far as how to dominate with his size, but Pop has to put him in better positions too, and with CP3 that should in theory not be an issue. The rest of his team is pretty mediocre.

Not even the media so much as posters here like rrr3 and eliteballer and some others. Every decent game he had last year had some people saying hes already on track to be the greatest ever.
Like excuse me, lets see if he plays 22 seasons, becomes the all time leading scorer, wins an IST MVP (only been done once in history so far) and plays with his own progeny in an NBA game.
Let him come even remotely close to any of that and then we can start debating it.

Yeah, it's soon in the season, but regardless, that fool needs to stop jacking up threes. Eight attempts per game for him is ridiculous, and it's incredibly low IQ.

A better-scoring Shawn Bradley... Cool...
Just like I said.
