I predict that Wembanyama will always be left open at three, even when and if he becomes a good shooter. You really can't challenge his shot and he's fast more dangerous as he gets into his effective range. He should do everything from 15 ft or closer. He can hit from further or than that but that's the range where he's devastating whereas on the three point line he just has a chance.

He looked good in the olympics towards the end.

I don't think he fits on a fast moving team and in the NBA in general.

Pop has lost the plot letting all kinds of randos get way too much touch. They should play slower and let Wemby touch it at the Zingis spot at high post every time.

I think he's letting teams off the hook shooting so many long jumpers. He has a physical edge on 98% of the league and should be playing more downhill and around the elbow area.

He really needs to look at Porzingis, they have almost exactly the same challenges and strengths. Less dribbling, more shooting.

Well he doesnt have KP's shooting ability yet, which is understandable since hes 20, and thats a big part of what makes Pingis dangerous. KP's been a pretty consistent shooter from all three levels the past couple seasons. I'm not sure the Spurs wanna sacrifice wins just to give Yama target practice this early in the season if hes not able to consistently hit those shots yet.

That said, I agree his impact needs to eventually come from shooting over mismatches and rim running. Having a 7'3 guy who plays like James Harden is a novelty and at first we all thought that kind of thing would be unstoppable, but then when you watch it's just like... kinda pointless. It's not really the advantage everyone expected.

People need to temper the expectations about him being revolutionary for now and let him just focus on ways to be a quality contributor.

The league has also had a year to adjust to him, it always does. So his approach and how he is coached will need to continue to evolve.
