I'm a science person first and foremost even if I'm a practicing Catholic, like obviously there were no Adam and Eve, we descend from a common ancestor with chimps 6 million years ago but why does sleep paralysis also include an evil demonic presence all throughout cultures and belief systems? If it were only our brains manifesting this, wouldn't different cultures and religions make people have different experiences? Even atheists who have sleep paralysis report a malignant entity in their experience...
