Nice cheap Hotels in downtown Phoenix?
A friend asked me if I wanted to join him come along to fly to the Turning Point/Charlie Kirk Event in December which is in Phoenix.
Im generally intrigued and always wanted to go to America anyway.
My only concern is that I now longer really identify with Kirk but there are several other speakers and attendees and the Event itself would be really cool with huge momentum/vibes.
So Im looking at options.
Are there nice cheap Hotels in downtown Phoenix that anyone can recommend. Or even Id take a classical American Motel man.
And if we go we will prob enhance the trip and do something else somewhere not too far away, maybe even in another state next to it.

And no offense to highwhey, but there's at least 15 cities I'd rather visit in the US before I'd go to Phoenix.
Id couple the Event with some other Activity / Stay.
The event is 4 days, Id make a 2-week thing out of it, make the flights worth it.
I literally just got off the phone so I dont even know yet what attractions or cities are near / best for this.
The event itself is an awesome starting point though, many young people like myself, college girls, etc. and some really cool speakers, mainly Tucker Carlson. Tucker Carlson is the big deal about this event, for me. Steve Bannon is there, motherfcker is sitting on 15 hours of Epstein interview material.

gotta hit california if you're into nature experiences. grand canyon is 4 hrs north of phoenix by car and you get to see flagstaff which is high elevation and snowy if you're into pine trees and snow.
cali will have sequoia national park and yosemite national park which i believe both are must sees if you're in this part of the hemisphere. cali has other national parks but meh. don't make the mistake of going to vegas, it sucks lol.

No way, not in December.
It's warm and it's got probably the most hotties per capita of any city. I dont know if theres a ton of unique stuff to see and do in Phoenix itself but you could golf and do some standard stuff, you could drive up to Flagstaff for a day. But again, good weather and hotties alone has to make it at least Top 15 in December if youre single.

15 is wild. we have snow, mountains, forrests, lakes, desert, guns (there's a MASSIVE gun show in december), very unique scenery all over the state which are 3-4 hour drives by car
horseshoe bend, grand canyon, antelope canyon
flagsyaff/snowbowl
phoenix has great hilking spots
we have the big sandy shoot where people literally bring the most badass guns and you can shoot them
but you're probably from the (L)east coast where you have no mountains or variety in scenery where everything is a concrete jungle

Re: Nice cheap Hotels in downtown Phoenix?
I'll concede with Neal that if we're talking strictly the winter, Phoenix gets bumped up a few spots since a lot of the northern cities wouldn't be nearly as hospitable to visit, I'd agree with him on that.
And highwhey I was talking specifically Phoenix, not Arizona as a whole. Is everything you listed a 3-4 hour drive away? If so, that honestly seems pretty inconvenient to me for a trip.
When I've looked up Phoenix, I was pretty surprised at what a small city it looked like, especially considering it has over 1.5 million people and is home to 3 sports teams. Is it just an issue of it not having much of a downtown? Is the below an accurate representation of the city?

flagstaff is 2hrs away but directly in the path to the grand canyon, all the other spots are within 1-1.5hrs of each other by car so you're not far at all. idk of any major national parks that are within city limits. seqioua and yosemite are like 3-4 hours away from LA.
yeah that's downtown. it's not big, but again...you're from the east coast bc thats how all east coast people measure a city by...the skyscrapers. phoenix is very spread out, it has one of the largest land masses among cities in the us.

Thx for the tips on activities, are there motels? Can you stay in these things or would you say better stay away?

there are motels, but they're ghetto af bro. they're drug/prostitution zones so there's a lot of crime with those.

^ that looks like a better option in the same range as motel pricing, never stayed there but remember as a foreigner you will stick out, better to stay away from crime-ridden areas.
if you want me to show you around town just lmk. i don't drink though
